Eric Birnberg, LL.B. is a founding partner in the Toronto-based media, entertainment and telecommunications and technology law firm, Lewis Birnberg Hanet, LLP, and a co-founder of Behind the Scenes Services Inc., the Toronto-based company that manages business and legal affairs, and business administration services, for film, television and digital media projects of many small and large Canadian production and development houses. Earlier in his career, Eric held senior management positions at Alliance Atlantis including Sr. VP, Business & Legal Affairs for the Television Group, and General Counsel to the entire organization. Eric was also Legal Counsel at TMN-The Movie Network. In addition, Eric serves in executive producing roles on select film and television projects, including the animated family movie “Pirate’s Passage”, soon to be premiering on CBC, and the Canadian feature thriller “Nightrunners” , shot on Rusinga Island, Kenya and currently in post-production.
