Jasmin Mozaffari is a Toronto-based filmmaker. Her first feature film, Firecrackers (2018), had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Mozaffari graduated from Ryerson University’s Film Studies Program in 2013. Her short films include Firecrackers (2013), a student film that her feature is based on, and Wave (2015), which premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival and Aesthetica Short Film Festival in the UK.
Shasha Nakhai is a filmmaker based out of Toronto with Compy Films and Storyline Entertainment. Her award-winning films have screened at festivals, aired on TV worldwide, and released on iTunes. Her work has gone viral and been awarded Vimeo Staff Pick and Short of the Week. Nakhai’s last film with partner Rich Williamson, Frame 394, was shortlisted for the 2017 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short. It was named one of TIFF’s Top 10 Films of 2016, and nominated for 2 Canadian Screen Awards.
