Mara Ravins, a history and theatre graduate from the University of Toronto and New Media graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design has worked professionally in the film industry for over 25 years on low and high budget productions, starting as a Wardrobe Assistant, Decorator and Production Designer.
An established filmmaker, her work has been shown at international festivals. Over the last nine years, she has evaluated film and TV projects for the tax credits at the OMDC, in addition to constantly creating new work and serving as a mentor for young filmmakers and artists.
Mark Sonnenberg. Montreal-born, Alberta-raised, Mark calls Toronto home. Mark likes working with people in the Arts, using his business acumen to help propel them toward their dreams. Working at the OMDC is but one outlet for that. Mark has been with the OMDC since 2002 as a Business Officer for Tax Credits & Financing Programs and prides himself in helping producers, lawyers or accountants navigate the complex rules and regulations that surround them. Prior to that, he helped to garner over $72M from a variety of funding incentives at Alliance Atlantis.
