The Reel Ideas program enriches the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival’s vision by fusing industry and education. Our programming aims to provide networking and skills sharing opportunities between emerging talent, visiting artists and established filmmakers. Our mandate is to nurture the growth of Asian creatives within film and the arts at large and to explore multiple aspects of Toronto’s entertainment industry in nuanced ways.
For the 22nd Reel Asian Film Festival, Reel Ideas will host a conference on Thursday November 15, plus a number of events throughout the festival that will generate opportunities for development and production of local film. The conference consists of:
9:30 AM – Elevate Your Pitch
11:30 AM – Influencing Impact
2:00 PM – ReMappings
In addition, Reel Ideas this year will host a keynote event with American comedian, writer and podcaster, Hari Kondabolu. The finalists for our So You Think You Can Pitch? Competition will also present their projects to the jury for a chance to win a prize towards the production of their next short film.
