This year’s Durham Fabulous Festival of Fringe Film will include Work, Bike, and Eat (Canada 1972) and Everything Everywhere Again Alive (Canada 1974), by Toronto-based filmmaker Keith Lock. Keith’s two films will screen as part of the Everything Everywhere Under the Stars Beside the River programme on Friday, August 3, 9:30PM at The Middle Dam. More info here. Keith’s works have screened at Reel Asian and TIFF and his short film, A Brighter Moon, was previously nominated for a Gemini award in 1987. Most recently, Keith was the winner of Reel Asian’s 2011 So You Think You Can Pitch? Competition to complete his short film The Magic Charm which will star some familiar Toronto Asian faces and premiere at Reel Asian this fall.
Another RA filmmaker featured in this Durham festival is Jin-me Yoon, whose short Unbidden: Channel will be screened as part of The Beacon for which We Long at Nautical Dusk and Dawn on Saturday August 4, 9:30PM at The Middle Dam.
