Casting Notice: Suki

In search of creative minds in exploring new appreciative ways of an ancient art, Kabuki. You can pick any Kabuki character and present it in any dance/music form for no more than 1 min. Please include name, contact and his/her chosen Kabuki character and play in the beginning of your version on a sample clip. Provide your link to Ada Vaughan at casadeada@yahoo.ca before Jan 10th, 2011.

Successful candidate will be contacted before mid March, 2011

Minimum of 4 choreographers/dancers/composers/musicians are needed for series of shorts re western interpretation of Kabuki. Any gender, aged 18 to 99 various characters of a feature film project, Suki. Each short showcases each performer’s individual style under director’s guidance.

This collaborative effort may continue onto big screen and even the next project Crystals, a musical sci fi.

Choreographers or Dancers
use your imagination and experience in dancing, to combine east and west

Suki, Female, 25-35, Asian, preferably with long black hair(Passionate)
Francois, Male, 25-30, Caucasian, preferably with shoulder length blonde hair(Caring)
Madeline, Female, 25-30, Caucasian, preferably with long hair(Fun loving)
Bando, Male, 35-45, Asian, female impersonator(dignified)
Any gender, aged 25 to 45

Composers or Musicians
use your imagination to combine the East, Kabuki, with the West, any style of music
dancing is not necessary but an asset
