MENTORS:

Kristine Estorinos, Manager, Festival Services and Domestic Sales, Ouat Media
Kristine manages Festival Services (OMFS) and all distribution operations at Ouat Media. After working in the Philippines in feature film promotion, Kristine quickly gained distribution experience in Canada with companies like CFC Distribution. Because of her experience with festivals and her knowledge of many of their programs, Kristine works closely with her OMFS clients to pick the festivals that hopefully lead the films to a successful festival run. She continues to represent Ouat Media at international film festivals and markets for Canadian sales and conducts master classes on festival strategies. To find her at a film festival, simply walk your way to the nearest food or beverage stand - she's the short Asian girl holding a burger 5 times the size of her hand.

Linda Fong, Independent Production Officer, TVO
As TVO's Independent Production Officer in the Documentary Unit, Linda Fong works with Commissioning Editor Jane Jankovic, programming the network's Gemini award-winning Canadian point-of-view documentary anthology series. Original commissions include provocative and critically acclaimed documentaries such as Last Call at the Gladstone Hotel, Broke., Cat Ladies, Water On The Table and the multi-platform documentary series, Inside Disaster Haiti. Prior to joining TVO, Linda worked in Marketing and Distribution at the National Film Board of Canada's Ontario Centre.

Cheryl Geonanga, Art Director
Cheryl Geonanga started her career as an Art Director in 2009. She has worked on clients such as Rethink, MINI, Koodo, Burger King, Capital One, Yellow Pages and Capital One. Her accomplishments include getting into Applied Arts, getting a merit at the National Advertising Awards and making it to the shortlist in Cannes this past year.

Vicci Ho, International Programming Consultant, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival
Possibly remembered by some in Toronto after working as the East Asian Coordinator at TIFF since 2008, Vicci Ho is an Asian Film consultant for various film festivals, including the San Francisco International Film Festival and Zurich Film Festival. Based in Hong Kong but feels more at home up in the air, Vicci is most often spotted at ramen joints and karaoke bars near the film festivals she attends.

Anita Lee, Producer, National Film Board of Canada
Anita Lee is one of the founders of the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. She is also an award-winning producer of dramatic feature films and documentaries. Since joining the National Film Board of Canada as a producer in 2006, she has co-produced North America's critically acclaimed first interactive dramatic feature film, Late Fragment (TIFF, SXSW) and BODYBUILDER AND I, which won Best Canadian Feature Documentary at Hot Docs 2007. Prior to joining the NFB, Lee produced the international co-production Proteus (TIFF, Berlin); the Genie award-winning The Art of Woo (TIFF, Pusan); and Dinner at the Edge (Bravo), which won a Gemini award, the Chris Award for Best Performing Arts Film and garnered five Gemini nominations. Lee's experimental documentary short film, A HUNTER CALLED MEMORY, screened at TIFF, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand and the Sheffield Documentary Festival.

Alex Rogalski, Short Cuts Canada Programmer, Toronto International Film Festival
Alex Rogalski is a Short Cuts Canada Programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival®. In this role, he is responsible for introducing audiences to excellence in short-form Canadian films. Rogalski also programmes for the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival and the Human Rights Watch Film Festival in Toronto. Rogalski regularly travels across North America as the Co-ordinator of the One Take Super 8 Event. His Super 8 programmes have been featured at the National Arts Centre, Images Festival, Pop Montreal and the WNDX Festival of Avant Garde Film. He has also curated film programs for the Pacific Cinematheque (Vancouver) and Winnipeg Cinematheque. Rogalski has a Masters of Arts in Communications and Culture from York University in Toronto and continues to participate in academia. Most recently, Rogalski was an invited guest lecturer at Ryerson University, Concordia University, Montreal, University of Regina, Saskatchewan and Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio.

Ana Serrano, Director of CFC Media Lab, Canadian Film Centre
Ana is the Founder and Director of CFC Media Lab, the world-renowned and award-winning institute for interactive storytelling created in 1997 at the Canadian Film Centre. With her visionary direction and digitally-forward approach to organizational growth, Ana built the CFC Media Lab into a unique blend of training facility, incubator, and creative production house, that continually re-invents itself as new media demand new approaches – from the early exploration of Web-based entertainment, to today's world of mobile smart-phones and iPads. To date, she directed the development of over 130 interactive media projects, mentored over 50 start ups and produced some of Canada's seminal works in interactive media including the influential Great Canadian Story Engine, one of the World's first digital storytelling sites and Late Fragment the first interactive dramatic feature film to be featured at the Toronto International Film Festival and distributed by Mongrel Media. Ana is a three-time winner of awards from the Canadian new media industry, and frequently speaks at digital media and film festivals throughout the world about the emerging realms of interactive art and entertainment. She has sat on boards as varied as the Canadian Conference of the Arts, Virtual Museums of Canada, Laidlaw Foundation, and Mcluhan International Multimedia Festival. Currently, she is active on the boards of Artscape, Kapisanan Arts Centre and several start-up companies focusing on interactive entertainment. She is also an Advisor in the Information, Technology and Entertainment Practice at MaRS.
