Currently an employment opportunity exists in their Community & Educational Programmes Department for a full time Outreach Coordinator, Planet IndigenUS on a contract basis. This position is responsible in assisting the Planet IndigenUs Artistic Director and Harbourfront Centre/Woodland Cultural Centre team in all facets of programming and producing the Planet IndigenUs as a festival, and associated programming and outreach in the year between the festivals.

You will join a small, non-profit organization of dedicated Aboriginal artists, curators and academics led by the National Coordinator. You will be a creative thinker and social media/communications enthusiast who can assist the National Coordinator with administrative and organizational tasks as they relate to your role, primarily responsible for managing the ACC/CCA website, weekly e-newsletter, facebook page and other social media tools.

The Regent Park Film festival is looking for an energetic person with strong administrative skills to fill the role of the Interim Executive Director. For the right candidate, this is an excellent opportunity to guide an ambitious, community based, festival through an important year of growth.

About the Position

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for leading the overall direction of this unique, community based, film festival.

The successful candidate will not only be passionate, entrepreneurial and creative but also bring strong fundraising experience and have superior inter-personal skills to manage a three-person staff team and work in collaboration with a range of community organizations. You must have an understanding of the non-profit and/or arts sector in Canada, as well as demonstrate a familiarity with the intersections of community engagement and the media arts. You must demonstrate an attention to detail and follow-through with work across a range of stakeholders including artists, filmmakers, community members, funders, donors and co-presenting partners.

The Regent Park Film Festival is looking for an energetic and organized person to come on board as our Programming Intern. Deadline to apply is May 9th, 2014.

The Program Intern will assist the Program Director at the Regent Park Film Festival in coordinating the submissions process and the festival’s selection committee and confirming the line up for the 12th Annual Regent Park Film Festival in November.
