Asian Picks at Images & ReelWorld

This year’s Images Festival takes place April 12-21, 2012 and will showcase over 100 films and videos, 26 installations and 6 live performances…not gonna lie, we are also pumped to hang out and eat grilled cheeses (courtesy of CheeseWerks) at their new dedicated festival space at 204 Spadina. Here are our Asian picks to check out at this year’s event:

  • Those I Misunderstood and Unable to Identify (Director Chia Yu Chen, USA) — part of the S is for Student programme, April 15th 2012 5pm at Jackman Hall
  • Omokage (Remains) (Director Maki Satake, Japan) — part of the Memoirs of an Amnesiac programme, April 16th 2012 at Jackman Hall
  • Clouds (Director Kumiko Kiyooka, Canada) — part of the Images 25th Anniversary 1988 Screening Part 2 programme, April 19th 2012 9pm at Images at 204
  • Sidewalk Stories (Director Rizki Resa Utama, Indonesia/Germany) — part of the Sidewalk Stories programme, April 20th 2012 9pm at Jackman Hall
  • Florentina Hubaldo, CTE (Director Lav Diaz, Philippines) — co-presented by Reel Asian, April 21st 2012 12pm at Jackman Hall
