The Toronto Fringe Festival is taking place July 6-17, 2011 and here are some selections to look out for:
- Kim’s Convenience by Ins Choi. A comedic story of a Korean family in Toronto struggling with the cost of a bitter past and the price of reconciliation. **WINNER of the 2011 Toronto Fringe New Play Contest**
- Shotgun Wedding directed by Catherine Hernandez. An unexpected pregnancy threatens a Filipina debutante’s dream of the perfect 18th birthday. Catherine recently wrote and performed in Eating with Lola as part of Next Stage.
Both are definitely worth checking out! Ticket info here.
