Reel Asian Co-Presents at Regent Park Film Festival

Reel Asian is proud to co-present at the 13th Annual Regent Park Film Festival.

On November 19th, Reel Asian is co-presenting The Crow’s Egg (Kaaka Muttai) at Regent Park Film Festival. Featuring mischievous young brothers in the slums of Chennai, India, this comedy-drama tells a social and political tale through the eyes of the young boys as they go on a pursuit for their first taste of pizza. 

Mina Walking, which recently screened at Reel Asian last week, is playing at Regent Park Film Festival after The Crow’s Egg at 8:30pm. Reel Asian’s 2013 So You Think You Can Pitch? winner Betty Xie will also present her short film The Home Promised as part of the Reimagining Home shorts programme.

This comedy-drama set in Chennai, India invites us into the world of two young boys living in the slums. They call themselves Crow’s Egg the Elder and Crow’s Egg the Younger as they play across the city and make friends with local characters like Juice Box. This light and warm-hearted feature film navigates the social and political realities of India through the innocent eyes of two young boys.
