Got a first draft, but don’t know how to take your script to the next stage? This one-on-one meeting with a story-editor will give you the tools and insights to make your second draft shine. Workshop Facilitator: Nathalie Younglai, Writer/Director
Nathalie Younglai (Writer-Director) is a recipient of an OAC playwriting grant, the Global Writers Apprenticeship and is alumna of the 2011 WGC-Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters Program. She earned a special mention with WIFT-Vancouver’s 2015 From Our Dark Side genre competition with a pitch inspired by her father’s work in IVF.
Nathalie has directed for Slice and Food Network, and story edited on “Tessa & Scott “ (W), nominated for the 2015 CSA’s Best Factual Series. Nathalie was senior story producer on “You Gotta Eat Here! Specials” (Food Network).
Nathalie is the screenwriting mentor for the Reel Asian Film Festival’s youth workshop, and was a guest speaker with the Toronto Black Film Festival and the Reel Asian Film Festival. Nathalie hosts networking events for Creatives of Colour in TV & Film.
Nathalie currently writes on a preschool animation and has a drama series in development with eOne/Shaw.
