PAUL SUN-HYUNG LEE is an award-winning actor, writer and comedian. He was twice nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male in a principal role and winner of the Toronto Theatre Critics Award for Best Actor.
JEAN YOON is an actor and playwright based in Toronto and works regularly on both stage and screen. Jean originated the role of “Umma” in the original hit play, putting in over 240 performances in six cities, expanding the role to television. When Reel Asian launched its first industry series in 2006, we had the pleasure of having Jean as one our very first industry mentors.
SIMU LIU, who plays Jung, has accumulated a solid resume of roles on television including a regular role on the OMNI miniseries Blood and Water, and guest roles on shows such as Make it Pop, Nikita, Warehouse 13 and Beauty and the Beast. In addition to Kim’s Convenience, he will next be seen in a recurring role on the upcoming NBC series Taken, based on the film franchise starring Liam Neeson.
