Karaoke Spring Fundraiser: Singing Sweet Sixteen

Posted on April 19, 2012

Turning 16 is tough. But rad hair & music makes everything better.

You’ve probably already marked Nov 6 on your calendars as the start of the 16th edition of the festival. But in the meantime, the team has been hard at work preparing for tomorrow’s Karaoke Spring Fundraiser. Generous donations have streamed in for our killer slate of raffle prize packages: Via Rail round trip! Sony camera! Kobo eReader! Jays game tix! and lots more*!

But no Sweet 16 would be complete without a well-coiffed nod to the late John Hughes’ teen classic Pretty in Pink, which has a striking, Karaoke-friendly, soundtrack.

* While we tried to estimate the (approximate retail) value of a donated man bracelet, Ops Guy Chris chimed in with this gem, “It depends on the man who’s wearing it.”
