Sari-Sari Xchange “Assetory” Reception

Celebrate the launch of the Sari-Sari Xchange Assetory, a storytelling-led virtual asset library prototype created with and for the Asian diaspora, and play with mobile resource units designed to facilitate the making and exhibition of XR creative works.

pasawày

pasawày is the experimental sound and media art project of apè Aliermo and kat estacio. They re-imagine alternate worlds of resistance as they explore various spectrums of their identities. They build multi-sensory performances and immersive installations that encourage self-trust and incite inspired actions. Currently based in Tsí Tkaròn:to, pasawày has taga-ilog/Tagalog and Bisaya ancestry.

Gangping Zuo

Gangping Zuo is a sixth-generation inheritor of Yang-Style Taijiquan, a sixth-duan Chinese martial artist, and a first-class national martial arts coach. He is also the founding president of the Jiangyin Yongnian Yang-Style Taijiquan Association. He apprenticed under Master Zhao Youbin, a ninth-duan Chinese martial arts grandmaster and a fifth-generation family inheritor of Yang-Style Taijiquan.

Gangping Zuo

Haoran Chang is a visual artist, media art researcher, and experimental game designer.  He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at York University in Cinema and Media Studies. His practice and research focus on game studies, immersive media, posthuman media, ethnographic game design, somatic design, reenactment studies, and art in cosmotechnics.

Tara Rose Morris

Tara Rose Morris is a new media artist with a practice that spans live performance, immersive installation, and digital artifacts. They investigate the thresholds between spectacle and embodiment, using technology as a site for speculative imaginaries where bodies, memory, and identity converge, flicker, and dissolve.

Workshop Accessibility

The workshop activities are accessible to people using wheelchairs as the object plinths will be at various heights. The workshop will use the Polycam app on smartphones (iPhones, Androids) for scanning purposes. Participants are free to use their own devices, and there will be a couple of iPhones and iPads available for people to use if needed. If the participants have their device set up for low vision accessibility, they could use it to operate the app. Team members will facilitate engagement and guide patrons as needed,

This venue has level-entry access from the sidewalk but the elevator has access limitations due to its dimensions – please visit the intake form by clicking the button below for details and options. Suite 403 has level entry from the hallway and is open-plan in design with no internal barriers.
