Reel Asian is a registered nonprofit. It is a charitable cultural organization that champions the future of diverse storytelling in Canada by advocating for Asian representation in the media arts.
The Fire Horse Patron Circle is a group of visionary individuals from different sectors who deeply believe in and champion Asian representation in the media arts. By building this community of patrons, Reel Asian will continue to advance its mission to showcase the work of Asian filmmakers and media artists and advance and elevate their careers. The funds raised through the Fire Horse Patron Circle will go towards supporting the Fire Horse Award and all other ongoing initiatives at Reel Asian.
With legendary Asian Canadian actress Sandra Oh and philanthropist Helen Song as the founding members, the Fire Horse Patron Circle is a group of visionaries from different sectors and industries who believe deeply in Reel Asian’s mission and the importance of increasing Asian representation in the media arts. Together, the Fire Horse patrons are at the forefront of change.
As a Fire Horse Patron, you will have exclusive access to all festival and year-round programming at Reel Asian and patron-only VIP events. A VIP experience at Reel Asian means intimate gatherings with a diverse group of like-minded champions, filmmakers and artists exchanging ideas over delicious food and drinks and having open and provocative discussions about cinema and art. Welcome home.
You will be invited to the annual Fire Horse Luncheon, where the annual award winner will be announced. You will have an opportunity to meet with the winner and socialize with other patrons, industry representatives, filmmakers and artists.
