Everyone has the right to fair and equitable treatment. We endeavour to bring people together in a safe environment.

This code of conduct will apply to all who attend and participate in any of Reel Asian’s programming. Everyone, including staff, members, volunteers, invited delegates and members of the public, has the right to express their opinions free of harassment, discrimination, sexism, and threatening or disrespectful behaviour—either in-person or online—from others. This could include but is not limited to:

  • offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, physical acts, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, national identity or religion;

  • deliberate intimidation;

  • harassing photography;

  • sustained disruption of talks or other events;

  • inappropriate messages

We reserve the right to refuse entry or revoke accreditation to Reel Asian events and venues including online spaces that Reel Asian hosts without notice for those who engage in such conduct. Staff are always present and identify themselves at the beginning of each online event. If you experience a violation of this Code of Conduct at the Festival, please alert staff immediately and it will be handled in a respectful and swift manner. Concerns can also be sent to webconduct@reelasian.com.
