Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I get a tax receipt?

Starting at the Partner level of $270 you will receive a partial tax receipt, which will be sent to you in your confirmation email.

Can I give you a cheque?

Yes, you can send a cheque addressed to Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and mail to 401 Richmond Street West, The Commons (Suite 448), Toronto, Ontario, M5V 3A8, Canada.

When does my membership expire?

Membership is active for a year from the date you sign up, but you will receive reminders when your membership is about to expire so you can enjoy the benefits for the following festival.

What happens if someone signs up in the middle of the festival? Do they get benefits for that festival or for the next year?

The deadline to sign up for membership to enjoy benefits for the upcoming festival is by day two (2) of the festival dates. Membership sign ups after will receive a 5% discount.

Can I purchase a membership for someone else as a gift?

Yes, it’s a great way to show your support and enjoy benefits with a friend or family member! Click the checkbox beside “Add To Cart” that says “This is a gift”.

Do I get anything for referring someone to membership?

We appreciate when our members refer others so much that you’ll receive complimentary tickets for you and your friend to a show at the festival (excluding Opening Night) of your choice 🙂

What if I can’t attend any in-person events?

We understand that not all our members are local or can attend, which is why all members receive unlimited VOD access to our online programmes and discounts to share with family and friends. You’ll also receive communications year-round about online screenings and other events that occur outside of the festival dates. If you can’t make use of tickets and would like to gift them, please contact membership@reelasian.com and we will be happy to assist.
