All his life, an ordinary young man has been treated like dirt. Still, he’s never given up believing that all the world’s problems could be solved with a little kung fu. So he’s teaming up with a band of misfits – six friends who were kung fu masters in their youth – to form a soccer team that only he believes has a chance to win a $1 million grand prize. Together, they’re going to apply their hidden talents to a whole new game, and soccer will never be the same.
Stephen Chow
Stephen Chow is a legendary Hong Kong filmmaker and actor widely known for pioneering the mo lei tau (nonsense) comedy style. Rising to fame as a comedic actor in the 1990s, he later transitioned into directing blockbuster films like Shaolin Soccer (2001) and The Mermaid (2016).
A 17-year-old struggles between accepting his cultural identity or changing it to fit conventional ideas of beauty.

Prajj is a Toronto based Writer/Director and Artist whose work blends bold genre storytelling with an experimental, DIY spirit. Their films have screened at TIFF Next Wave, Reel Asian, Toronto Youth Shorts and more. Alongside filmmaking, Prajj creates installation work, video art and zines, building a practice that’s playful, genre-bending, and formally inventive.
